Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner who enjoys helping young children learn, develop and reach their potential? Would you like to work shorter hours but still use your nursery based skills?
Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets who are looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children, creating engaging learning experiences and supporting their development through play, exploration and positive relationships.
The role will involve supporting the school's early years provision during the school day, as well as helping to run the after-school club, so flexibility to stay until 5:30pm is essential.
The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children within the primary school's early years setting, helping to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore, learn and develop.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based and structured activities.
- Helping to deliver engaging activities that support communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
- Supporting children's individual needs and encouraging independence.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
- Supporting children's routines, personal care and wellbeing where required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other practitioners to support the smooth running of the provision.
- Supporting the after-school club, helping to provide a positive and enjoyable environment for children until 5:30pm.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Previous experience working within an early years, nursery or primary school setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to remain at school until 5:30pm to support the after-school club.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
