Equivalent to £31,000 to £38,000 per annum

A specialist SEN school in North West London is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to deliver high quality paediatric occupational therapy to children and young people with autism, sensory processing differences, motor coordination needs, learning disabilities and complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with experience in SEN schools, primary or secondary education settings, or school based multidisciplinary teams.

Role Overview
This school based Occupational Therapist role focuses on supporting pupils to access learning, regulate sensory needs and develop independence and functional life skills. You will work collaboratively with teachers, SEN support staff, Speech and Language Therapists and pastoral teams to embed occupational therapy strategies across the school day.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out holistic occupational therapy assessments including sensory, motor and functional profiles
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, sensory regulation needs, motor coordination difficulties and independence skills
• Provide practical classroom strategies, resources and staff training
• Manage an established caseload within a structured therapy framework
• Contribute to service development, supervision and reflective practice

• Specialist SEN provision supporting primary and secondary aged pupils
• Pupils with ASD, SLD, MLD, medical needs and complex sensory profiles
• Strong focus on inclusion, emotional wellbeing and personalised learning
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, SaLT and pastoral staff
• Ongoing CPD, clinical supervision and opportunities to develop specialist SEN OT skills

Essential Criteria
• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• Band 6 or Band 5 with strong paediatric experience working towards Band 6
• Experience working with children and young people in SEN schools or education settings
• Strong clinical reasoning with the ability to link therapy outcomes to learning and EHCP targets
• Experience supporting autism, sensory integration and motor development needs
• Commitment to strengths based, child centred and neurodiversity affirming practice
