More than just classroom support...
Some children need extra help with their learning. Others need someone who can build their confidence, understand their needs and help them feel comfortable in the classroom.
Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a caring and reliable Learning Support Assistant to work with children across Southend.
About the Role
You’ll support pupils with their learning, development and day-to-day school life. Depending on the setting, this could include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
- Helping children access classroom activities and learning.
- Supporting communication, social skills and independence.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Building trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
About You
Ideally, you’ll have experience working with children, whether in a school, nursery, care setting, youth work or a similar environment.
You’ll be patient, approachable and willing to learn. Most importantly, you’ll understand that every child is different and may need a different approach.
Previous SEND experience would be beneficial, but we’re happy to speak to people with transferable experience who are keen to work in education.
