Learning Support Assistant – Basildon

Location: Basildon
Pay: £95–£105 per day, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Full-time

More than just classroom support...

Some children need extra help with their learning. Others need someone who can understand their needs, build their confidence and help them feel comfortable in school.

Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Basildon, supporting pupils with a range of SEND.

About the Role

You’ll work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils get the most from their school day.

This could include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

• Helping pupils access lessons and activities.

• Supporting communication and social development.

• Encouraging independence and confidence.

• Helping children manage emotions and behaviour.

• Building positive and consistent relationships.

About You

Experience working with children is ideally what we’re looking for. This could be through a school, nursery, childcare, care, youth work or another relevant setting.

SEND experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential. What matters is that you’re patient, reliable and genuinely want to help children progress.
