We are proud to be working with a highly regarded specialist SEMH school in North London, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths & Science Teacher to join their secondary team from September 2026.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a therapeutic, nurturing school where education is centred around trust, consistency and positive relationships. The school supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism, many of whom have experienced disrupted education. Staff work together to rebuild confidence, inspire a love of learning and help every pupil achieve both academically and personally.

The Role

As a Maths & Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
  • Build strong, consistent relationships that encourage engagement and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work closely with therapists, support staff and senior leaders to provide holistic support for every pupil.
  • Celebrate progress in all its forms, both inside and outside the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching Maths and Science at secondary level
  • Confident or willing to teach Science
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a nurturing approach
  • Passionate about SEND/SEMH education
  • Resilient, reflective, and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
