Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be working in partnership with a warm and inclusive specialist school in Harlow, dedicated to supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are currently seeking a committed and adaptable Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is available on either a permanent or temp-to-perm basis, depending on your preference.


🧮 The Role

This is a full-time teaching position delivering Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be the opportunity to contribute to a second subject area, depending on your experience and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to small class groups (typically 6–10 pupils)

  • Support individual learning needs alongside teaching assistants and the wider team

  • Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to foster trust, confidence, and re-engagement with learning

  • Manage behaviour using positive, trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches

  • Contribute to a second subject area (e.g. Science, PE or the Arts), if desired

  • Support the ongoing development of the school, with opportunities for future progression

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • A calm, reflective and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour management

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a positive difference

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or working in alternative provision (desirable but not essential)

  • A second subject specialism (e.g. PE, Science or Art) would be advantageous
