Parker Smith Inclusion are proud to be working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Harlow, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a committed and resilient Maths Teacher to join their passionate team from September 2025.
This is a full-time teaching role, available on either a permanent basis or as a temp to perm opportunity, depending on your preference.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, within small class settings (typically 6–10 pupils). There is also scope to teach a second subject, depending on your interests and the needs of the school.

Plan and deliver creative and accessible Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Work collaboratively with support staff to personalise learning and ensure progress

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and re-engagement with learning

Implement consistent and trauma-informed behaviour strategies within a nurturing, therapeutic environment

Contribute to wider school life, with potential to support other subjects or enrichment activities

Progression opportunities available – including leadership roles as the school expands

The Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Maths at secondary level

Has a calm, empathetic, and reflective approach, with strong behaviour management skills

Is passionate about working with pupils with SEMH needs and committed to inclusive education

Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills

A second subject specialism (e.g. Science, PE, Art or Humanities) would be advantageous but is not essential
