Science Teacher – Specialist Provision
A school where your teaching truly transforms lives.
Location: North West London
Salary: In line with the Outer London Teaching Pay Scale
Contract: Temp-to-Perm | Start Date: September
As a Science Teacher, you're constantly thinking about the students whose lives you're impacting every day. You're planning lessons that inspire, managing behaviours that challenge, and striving to create an environment where students can re-engage with their education and believe in their own potential.
Your deep knowledge of Science, combined with an understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs, allows you to bring creativity, structure, and empathy into the classroom. And while the job has its challenges, you find the role deeply fulfilling.
…but maybe it’s time to also think about you. Your environment. Your impact. Your future.
Perhaps you are frustrated with large class sizes prohibiting you from making a real impact on pupils who require more bespoke learning and nurture. It might be time to consider moving your skills to a specialist setting?
This school, a specialist provision based in North London, offers education and therapeutic support to students aged 11–19 who are not currently thriving in mainstream settings. Whether they’ve experienced exclusion, trauma, anxiety, or complex needs, this school is built around the belief that with the right support, every young person can succeed.
Their class sizes are small, and the support is immense, allowing you to focus on quality over quantity. The team includes therapeutic professionals and SEN experts, and they work as one to ensure that every student’s wellbeing and learning go hand in hand.
You would be delivering Science across KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level, helping students re-engage with academic study and develop confidence in their abilities. You’ll have access to excellent resources and the autonomy to create a curriculum that excites and challenges. Most importantly, you’ll have the time, support, and space to teach in the way you always hoped was possible.
