Music Tutor
Pupil Referral Unit
September 2026
Are you a Music Teacher, Tutor, or Music Professional looking for a rewarding role in an alternative education setting?
We are working with a secondary PRU in Central London that is seeking an experienced Music Teacher or Tutor to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the design and delivery of a brand-new music curriculum within an alternative provision setting.
This role would suit someone with strong practical music experience who is confident using a music studio and a range of recording, production, and performance equipment. Qualified teacher status is not essential; however, candidates must have relevant experience delivering music sessions within an educational or youth setting.
The provision supports students who are unable to attend mainstream education or who present with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful candidate will be able to engage and motivate young people through music, build positive and professional relationships, and manage behaviour with consistency and empathy. Experience delivering music sessions within an educational or youth setting.
You will play a key role in shaping a new music offer for September, using creativity to re-engage learners, develop their skills, and promote confidence and self-expression. In return, you will be supported by an experienced and collaborative staff team and given the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a highly rewarding setting.
If you are a Music Tutor, Instructor, or Practitioner with hands-on studio experience and a passion for working with young people in alternative education, we would love to hear from you.
