Nurture Practitioner - PRU Setting
£100 per day PAYE
Full Time - 8:30 - 4:30pm

Parker Smith Inclusion has been working in partnership with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Newham for a long time and are looking for a Nurture Practitioner to support a group of learners that have social, emotional & mental health needs and ADHD. As a nurture practitioner you are expected to work with the whole group of students, this is not a 1:1 role, you need to be able to manage your time effectively and be vigilant to notice any signs of escalated behaviors and having the confidence and knowledge to intervene effectively to de-escalate appropriately.
You will be supporting secondary learners (mixed girls & boys) that are looking to gain either a L1 / 2 or a GCSE depending on their skillset. This is a student led environment therefore wellbeing comes before their grades. Additionally, some learners may learn outside of the classroom environment as this could promote higher engagement, and you are expected to adjust to this way of supporting them in lessons.
Ideally, I'm looking for specialists that have previous experience in a SEMH/PRU/AP and/or Youth Justice or residential setting environment , as you would have already been exposed to the profile of students and understand their trauma, triggers and needs they have.
You will be required to have a Child & Adult DBS check ahead of starting any role with Parker Smith Inclusion, if your current one is not on the Update Service as well as 2 years' worth of references and specific safeguarding training courses.
