Role: Nurture Teacher
Location: Richmond
Contract: Long-term to Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £37,870 - £50,474 Outer London MPS
As a Nurture Teacher, you understand that positive relationships are the foundation of learning. By providing consistency, encouragement, and emotional support, you help children develop the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
For pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, this support can be transformational. Your ability to create a safe and predictable environment can help children rebuild trust, develop emotional regulation skills, and re-engage with their education.
The Role
A specialist school in Richmond is seeking a passionate Nurture Teacher to join their Key Stage 3 team from September 2026. The school supports pupils with complex SEMH needs, many of whom have experienced significant trauma and adverse childhood experiences. A number of pupils also have additional diagnoses, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
This is a highly rewarding role within a setting that places relationships at the heart of its approach. Staff are committed to understanding the individual needs of every pupil and creating opportunities for success through a balance of nurture, structure, and high expectations.
The school is dedicated to helping young people overcome barriers to learning and preparing them for a positive future. Through a personalised curriculum and therapeutic approach, pupils are supported to make meaningful progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
