About the Role
Are you an experienced teacher with a passion for SEND, SEMH and nurture-based education?
A specialist education setting in West Drayton is looking for a Nurture Teacher & Deputy SENCO to join their team.
This is a varied role combining classroom teaching with SEND leadership. You will support pupils with additional needs while working alongside the SENCO to develop and coordinate effective SEND provision across the setting.
The Role
As Nurture Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupils.
You will create a calm, structured environment where pupils can build confidence, develop independence and re-engage with learning.
Alongside this, you will support the SENCO with:

Coordinating SEND provision

Supporting EHCP processes and annual reviews

Developing personalised strategies and interventions
-
Supporting staff with effective SEND practice
-
Monitoring pupil progress and needs
-
Liaising with families and external professionals
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced teacher with a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive education.
You may currently be an SEN Teacher, SEMH Teacher, Nurture Teacher, SENCO, Deputy SENCO or SEN Lead — or an experienced teacher looking to take the next step into SEND leadership.
You will need:

QTS
-
Experience working with pupils with SEND or SEMH
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Good knowledge of differentiated teaching

Excellent communication and organisation
-
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
You will be patient, consistent and adaptable, while maintaining high expectations and clear boundaries.
