Nurture Teacher Opportunity (KS3/KS4)
Location: Richmond
October half-term start / January 2026 start
£186 - £248 PAYE per day, weekly payment, in line with MPS1 to MPS6 Outer London
We are working on behalf of a forward-thinking school to recruit an experienced Nurture Teacher to join their dedicated team. This opportunity offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs across KS3 and KS4.
The Nurture Teacher Role Includes:
- Pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils, ensuring their intellectual, emotional, and physical needs are met.
- Delivering a stimulating and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Liaising with families, health professionals, and support staff to promote a collaborative, multi-professional approach.
- Supervising and managing support staff in the classroom.
Key Requirements as a Nurture Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least two years’ experience.
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEND, including those with Autism/ASC, emotional and behavioural challenges.
- A strong understanding of SEND legislation and curriculum strategies.
- Demonstrable skills in creative teaching that engage and motivate pupils.
Nurture Teacher Desirable Skills:
- Leadership experience in SEND or curriculum development.
- Ability to inspire and collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Primary-trained teachers are encouraged to apply, as this Nurture Teacher model transfers very well to the primary model.
