Location: West Drayton, Hillingdon
Salary: £44,547–£50,629 per annum (actual)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time or part-time
Start Date: Immediate or by agreement

Are you an Occupational Therapist who wants to see the difference your work makes every day?

Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist SEND school in West Drayton looking for an Occupational Therapist to join its team. This is an opportunity to work closely with children and young people with autism and complex learning needs, helping them develop the practical skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive.

From sensory regulation and motor development to everyday functional skills, your work will help pupils overcome barriers and access education in a way that works for them.

About the role

You’ll manage a caseload of pupils, delivering tailored assessments and therapeutic interventions that support their individual needs and EHCP outcomes. Working alongside teaching staff, families and other professionals, you’ll help turn therapeutic recommendations into practical strategies that can be used throughout the school day.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assessing pupils’ occupational performance, identifying barriers to learning and everyday activities.

  • Developing and delivering individualised occupational therapy programmes.

  • Supporting sensory processing, regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and functional independence.

  • Helping pupils develop daily living skills and participate more confidently in school routines.

  • Contributing to EHCP reviews, clinical reports and multidisciplinary discussions.

  • Advising teachers, support staff and families on practical strategies to reinforce progress.

  • Monitoring outcomes and adapting interventions to meet each pupil’s changing needs.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration and a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.

Experience in paediatrics, SEND, autism or complex learning needs would be valuable, alongside an understanding of sensory processing, motor development and functional skills.

Just as importantly, you’ll be a proactive and compassionate practitioner who enjoys working collaboratively, communicating clearly and finding practical ways to help pupils make progress.

What makes this opportunity worth considering?

  • A permanent position with full-time or part-time flexibility.

  • A salary of £44,547–£50,629 per annum (actual).

  • The opportunity to work collaboratively with education and therapy professionals.

  • The chance to deliver meaningful, individualised support and see its impact on pupils’ everyday lives.

  • An environment where therapeutic input contributes directly to learning, development and independence.
