About the School
This welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism (ASC). The role does not involve personal care; however, the student may require support with emotional regulation throughout the day.
The school provides a structured yet nurturing environment, where inclusion is at the heart of everything they do. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels supported and able to succeed.

The Role
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, tailored support to help your assigned pupil access learning and feel secure within the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Your role will involve:
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Supporting learning within the classroom and adapting tasks where needed
- Assisting the pupil with emotional regulation and transitions throughout the day
- Encouraging independence while providing appropriate support
- Working collaboratively with staff to ensure consistent approaches
