Are you a passionate and adaptable educator with experience supporting vulnerable young people outside of the traditional classroom setting?

We are looking for an Outreach Tutor to deliver high-impact Maths and English sessions to KS3 and KS4 students across the Kingston and Richmond upon Thames boroughs. This is a vital role for learners with Autism, SEMH, and those who have experienced trauma or disrupted education. Students may demonstrate challenging behaviour and require consistent, compassionate, and tailored support.

The Role:

  • Delivering 1:1 or small-group Maths and English tuition in homes, community settings, and school environments - you will be planning, delivering, and marking work.

  • Supporting students with a wide range of complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, anxiety, and behavioural challenges

  • Creating a safe, nurturing learning space and building strong, trusting relationships

  • Setting clear learning goals and tracking academic and emotional progress

  • Working closely with schools, families, and wider agencies to provide a joined-up approach to support

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong background in teaching or tutoring core subjects (English and/or Maths)

  • Experience working with students with SEND/SEMH/trauma-informed practice

  • Resilient, calm, and confident in managing behaviours and promoting positive engagement

  • Able to work independently and travel between multiple locations across Kingston and Richmond

  • Passionate about making education accessible and meaningful for all learners

Role Details:

  • Pay: £130 per day (via agency)

  • Location: Boroughs of Kingston and Richmond upon Thames

  • Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

  • Contract: Long-term with potential for ongoing work

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a life-changing support system for young people who need a personalised, consistent, and caring approach to education. Please get in touch with Jamie at PS Inclusion.
