PMLD Teaching Assistant - Immediate / September Start

We are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in the Camden area to recruit a PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient, and committed Teaching Assistant who is experienced in supporting pupils with complex needs and is passionate about inclusive, child-centred education.
The Role
The successful PMLD Teaching Assistant will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD and complex needs

Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and medical needs where required

Assist with sensory-based learning and communication strategies

Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and engagement
-
Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams

Help create a safe, nurturing, and highly supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex SEND needs

Is confident with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided)

Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience

Is calm, reliable, and adaptable

Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
