SEN Teacher 

Job Title: SEN Teacher – Part Time, Long Term (3 days a week)

About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive school on a part time, long term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.

  • Creating a safe, nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCO, therapists, and other professionals.

  • Assessing and tracking student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, SLD, and complex learning difficulties.

  • Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.

Person Specification / Requirements
We are seeking someone who:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Has proven experience teaching pupils with SEND.

  • Is passionate, resilient, and creative in their approach to teaching and learning.

  • Can inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best.

  • Works collaboratively as part of a team and contributes to a positive school culture.

  • Is available part time and committed to a long-term role.

Desirable: experience with alternative communication methods, behaviour support strategies, or specialist interventions.
