PMLD Teaching Assistant – Ealing
£90 to £100 per day PAYE

Do you have experience supporting children or young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) or Complex Needs and looking to continue your career in a specialist setting. We are working alongside an all-through specialist school based in Northolt, Ealing who are looking to appoint a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work in either primary or secondary providing 1:1 support to students.
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately with the opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will vary depending on your experience from £90 to £100. This is a great opportunity for someone with PMLD and/or Complex Needs experience looking to transition into a specialist setting.
The role:
- Deliver individual 1:1 support adapted to each student’s unique learning and communication requirements
- Use visual tools and structured approaches to help sustain attention and engagement
- Assist students with sensory needs and encourage positive behavioural outcomes
- Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and the wider SEN team to promote student development
- Help foster a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning setting
The ideal candidate:
- Professional or personal experience supporting children or young people with PMLD and/or Complex Needs
- Moving and Handling trained (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine interest in developing a career in special needs
- Calm, patient and positive with a proactive attitude towards supporting learning
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
- Dependable and committed to a long-term role where consistency and stability are important
