A Special Needs School based in chelmsford are currently recruiting a positive behaviour support assistant to support children and young people with autism, ADHD and some complex learning difficulties.
Working with students with special educational needs requires resilience, patience and a nurturing personality able to understand and accommodate the needs of unique and talented children and young people.
This school belongs to a wider trust offering progression and development opportunities from teacher training to specialist assistant pathways. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is in abundance here and the Trust is dedicated to nurturing and retaining talent, sustaining the passion to work with children and young people with SEN.
The ideal Positive Behaviour Support Assistant may be..
- A graduate in psychology, social or health sciences looking for a unique and interesting role working with students with special educational needs.
- Engaging and creative in your methods to work with children and support their learning.
- Experience working with students with Autism and who are non-verbal.
- Ambitious and hardworking, open to progression and stepping up when necessary to support students.
- Passionate about a career working with children and young people with special educational needs.
