Primary ASC Teacher – Specialist Autism School | Enfield

Are you an experienced Autism Teacher whose skills and expertise are not having the impact they should because of your current environment or lack of support?

A specialist Autism school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Autism Teacher to join their highly supportive team, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

From the moment you arrive, you will feel the warmth of this welcoming setting. Therapy dogs in reception set the tone for a school that is nurturing, relationship-focused, and committed to wellbeing. While the role is naturally challenging, it is also an incredibly rewarding and supportive place to work.

The school prides itself on delivering personalised learning through an inclusive, autism-informed, communication-focused approach. Their curriculum is sensory, experiential, and highly adapted to meet the needs of autistic learners, enabling pupils to access learning in meaningful and engaging ways. Alongside academic progress, the school is committed to developing pupils’ independence, confidence, life skills, and emotional understanding through a holistic and therapeutic approach.

As the Primary Autism Teacher, you will support pupils across the primary age range, delivering engaging, sensory, and highly adapted lessons that meet a wide variety of communication, sensory, and learning needs. You will work collaboratively with therapists, pastoral teams, and support staff to ensure every pupil receives the individualised support they need to thrive.

What You Can Expect:

  • Highly experienced support staff in every classroom
  • 1:1 support for pupils where needed
  • A supportive Senior Leadership Team who help shape curriculum and provide the resources you need
  • Flexibility and understanding around the pressures of life outside work
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skill set
  • Access to gym facilities and wellbeing days to promote work/life balance
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position within the school

Why This Role?

This is a school where your career is valued just as much as your contribution in the classroom. You will be encouraged to grow professionally while being supported personally.
