About the Role
A mainstream primary school in Kingsbury NW9 is looking for a Primary School Mentor to support pupils with EHCPs, Autism, SEMH needs and ADHD. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build real, trusted relationships with children who need consistency and understanding to thrive in a mainstream classroom.
What You Will Be Doing
Supporting pupils with EHCPs, Autism, SEMH needs and ADHD in and around the classroom Building trusted, familiar relationships with the pupils on your caseload Helping pupils manage transitions, routines and moments of dysregulation Working alongside teachers and the SENCO to keep strategies consistent throughout the day Encouraging independence and confidence in daily learning
What We Are Looking For
Experience working with children who have Autism, SEMH needs or ADHD, gained in a school, youth work, sports coaching or family caring setting A patient, warm and steady approach, with the ability to build rapport quickly Genuine enjoyment of working with children and a reliable, consistent presence A background in education, youth work, psychology or a related field is helpful but not essential
Salary and Benefits
£95 to £105 PAYE Daily Rate, paid on time every time No umbrella companies Full-time, term-time only position Ongoing support from a dedicated Parker Smith Inclusion consultant throughout your placement
