Primary SEN Teacher – Autism Class – Cricklewood

For some children, learning hasn’t always felt accessible. Classrooms may have felt overwhelming, routines unpredictable, and success out of reach. But in the right environment, with the right teacher, that can change.

In a specialist SEN school in Cricklewood, a small group of pupils are waiting for a teacher who understands how to unlock their potential. Not through pressure, but through patience, structure and trust.

This role is centred around leading a class of six pupils with autism, working across a range of abilities from Early Years through to Key Stage 2. Each child brings their own strengths, needs and way of seeing the world. Your role is to create a calm, structured and engaging space where they feel safe enough to learn, communicate and grow.

Progress here isn’t always measured in big leaps. Sometimes it’s a pupil using a new word, managing a transition calmly, or engaging in a lesson for the first time. These are the moments that matter.

The school is well-resourced, highly supportive and built around a team approach. You will be working alongside experienced teaching assistants and SEN professionals who understand the importance of consistency, routine and collaboration.

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will lead a small autism class and create a learning environment tailored to individual needs.
