We're working with a specialist SEND school in Hounslow looking for an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join their team this September.
This is an opportunity to work in a specialist setting where teaching is genuinely personalised around the child. The school supports primary-aged pupils with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), ensuring every pupil receives an education designed around their individual strengths, needs and future goals.
With small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios and a strong focus on communication, independence and personal development, teachers have the time and support needed to make a meaningful impact. The leadership team is experienced, approachable and committed to creating an environment where both pupils and staff can thrive.
Your role:
✅ Teach a small specialist primary class supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning needs
✅ Plan and deliver personalised lessons linked to individual EHCP outcomes
✅ Adapt learning for pupils working at different developmental levels
✅ Support both verbal and non-verbal pupils using appropriate communication strategies
✅ Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider SEND team
We're looking for someone who:
✔ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Has experience teaching pupils with Autism (ASC)
✔ Has experience supporting pupils with MLD and/or SLD
✔ Is confident delivering highly differentiated and personalised learning
✔ Understands the importance of communication, consistency and relationship-based practice
✔ Is passionate about helping children with SEND reach their full potential
