I am currently working with a supportive SEN school seeking passionate, hardworking SEN Teaching Assistants at various levels to support children with special educational needs, including Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

You will be looking to support vulnerable children aged 3 to 11. Being a SEN Teaching Assistant is a very emotionally rewarding role, as you will support vulnerable children with their educational and emotional needs and make a huge impact on their lives.

The school welcomes new graduates who are aspiring SEND Teachers and Therapists, as it is a great place to grow within an inclusive and welcoming environment.

This is also a great opportunity for those looking for a new environment, or for experienced SEN Teaching assistants seeking greener pastures to expand their skill set or pursue new opportunities to grow.

The school offers a range of fantastic facilities and various opportunities for the children to express themselves. This includes a small classroom size (7 - 9 students) to ensure each child receives the attention they need, as well as specialist facilities.

The well-being and growth of their staff is also really important, as they offer continuous professional development from the day you first start.

  • Experience and a passion for working with children with SEND ( This can also be personal experience supporting a family member or friend )
  • A naturally compassionate and nurturing person
  • Aspiring SEND Teacher and Therapist - This is a great opportunity to really get involved and gain experience and knowledge by working alongside

Benefits for SEN Teaching Assistant

  • SEN Teaching Assistants receive ongoing training. Many staff members go on to become teachers at the school.
  • It's also a great opportunity for budding therapists who are looking to gain experience working alongside accomplished Speech and Language and Occupational therapists.
  • Staff wellbeing is always at the forefront of the school, and it has facilities to assist you with your mental wellbeing

Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant is to support learners both inside and outside the classroom. You should be encouraging, inspiring, and a positive role model to the students.
