Role - Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location - Hackney, North East London
Rate - £95 - £100 per day

As someone who wants to make a real difference in children’s lives, you may have already found that the right environment is what allows your impact to truly shine. This is an opportunity to join a setting where your contribution is genuinely valued every day.

We are working with a large mainstream primary school in Haggerston, Hackney, who are consistently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support across their provision.

This is one of the largest primary schools in the borough, with excellent facilities including a spacious playground, tennis courts, and extensive outdoor learning areas. The school has worked hard to create an environment that supports both pupils and staff, with a strong sense of community across the setting.

The teaching team is energetic, passionate, and committed to what they are building together. Staff are welcoming and approachable, and leadership is hands-on and supportive, creating a collaborative culture where people feel part of a shared purpose.

The role of a Teaching Assistant within SEND is vital. You will play an important part in each pupil’s journey, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence. Your patience, consistency, and ability to build trust will make a real difference day to day.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, complex needs, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

The school has a strong track record of supporting graduates and early career professionals looking to build experience in SEND. Many come from backgrounds such as Psychology, Criminology, Social Sciences, or Social Care, using this role as a pathway into long-term careers in education or specialist support.

Having purpose and positive impact in your work brings real reward. Supporting SEND learners requires patience, kindness, and consistency, and in return, the progress you see is incredibly meaningful.

At Parker Smith Inclusion, we focus on finding the right environment for you and provide full support throughout, including CV guidance, interview preparation, and ongoing development.

If you are a proactive and enthusiastic individual looking for a full-time role starting now or in September, we would love to hear from you. Please apply or contact Luke Conner today to discuss more about this role.
