Primary SEN Support Mentor (ARP)

Location: Havering
Pay: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: Easter 2026

About the Role

We are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Havering that hosts a well-established Additional Resource Provision (ARP) for pupils with autism and associated learning needs.

This is a long-term opportunity within a structured, nurturing environment, where you’ll work consistently with the same pupils and a supportive staff team. There is strong potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The provision focuses on helping pupils feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn, with support tailored to their individual needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support within the ARP
  • Support pupils’ engagement, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Implement strategies to meet sensory, communication, and behavioural needs
  • Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
  • Use positive behaviour approaches with consistency and clear boundaries
  • Support during transitions, break times, and structured activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
