Full time (Monday-Friday 8:30 - 3:45)
Parker Smith Inclusion have been supporting a mainstream primary school based in Haggerston for quite some time and are continuously looking for SEN TAs to support across the school. This is one of the largest Primary schools in Hackney boasting a fantastic large building with access to a large playground, tennis courts and apparatus for all the students to have the space they need during break times.
Previous candidates that have worked extremely well in this setting are motivated, enthusiastic graduates (focus on Psychology, Social Care, Social Science or Criminology) looking to gain more experience with SEND pupils to support their long term career goals, they invest in the TAs they hire to make sure they are getting all the best opportunities available to develop new skills throughout the academic year. In return they as for reliability, punctuality, proactivity and commitment to the school and their students. It's a great environment to start your SEND TA journey.
Experience/Duties
- Personal or professional experience with SEND children (autism, complex needs, behaviour, speech and language)
- Classroom experience (desired but not essential)
- Experience with primary or EYFS students (desired but not essential)
- Interventions experience such as; bucket time, sensory stories, zones of regulation.
- Degree or Level 3 Qualification
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as a team and individual
- Committed and reliable
- Enthusiastic with a positive personality
