Teaching in a primary school has never been more demanding. Balancing curriculum expectations, assessment requirements, behaviour management, and the diverse needs of every child can be challenging. For many teachers, the opportunity to focus on truly individualised learning and make a measurable difference to pupils with additional needs is what inspired them to join the profession in the first place.

If you are a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with SEND and thrives on creating personalised, meaningful learning experiences, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join an outstanding primary school within their SEND provision. The resource provision supports children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs, many of whom are unable to access the mainstream curriculum or find a mainstream classroom environment overwhelming. This is a highly rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to deliver tailored learning experiences, helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills, independence, and a love of learning within a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with children with ASD and complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of visual learning strategies and communication support approaches.
  • The ability to plan creative, engaging activities tailored to individual interests and developmental needs.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and support a team of teaching assistants.
  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach, with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children with SEND.

Why Work with Parker Smith Inclusion?

At Parker Smith Inclusion, SEND is all we do. We partner with schools that are committed to creating inclusive environments where pupils with additional needs can thrive, and we take the time to understand what matters most to our candidates.

When you work with us, you'll benefit from:

  • Access to exclusive SEND teaching opportunities that aren't always advertised elsewhere.
  • Dedicated support from specialist SEND consultants who understand the challenges and rewards of working within specialist and resource provision settings.
  • Honest, transparent advice throughout the recruitment process.
  • Guidance with interview preparation to help you feel confident and ready to showcase your skills.
  • Ongoing support before, during, and after placement.
  • Opportunities within schools that genuinely value inclusion, staff wellbeing, and professional development.

We believe that great SEND practitioners deserve to work in environments where they are supported, appreciated, and able to make a real impact. Our role is to help you find that perfect match.
