The school is a SEN specialist school for students with autism aged 3-19 years. They are looking for an experienced and passionate teacher to join their welcoming and supportive team. The successful candidate must have strong SEN experience, ideally in teaching young people with autism, and to use different techniques to enhance their learning and experiences. The needs can vary in complexity for each student, so it is important to be able to deliver creative andperson-centred lessons across primary and secondary. The class size is usually up to 8 students.

Class sizes of approximately 8 pupils, each supported by a class teacher, HLTA, and a team of specialist teaching assistants

A collaborative approach that includes speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, a positive behaviour support team, and a full-time onsite school nurse

A holistic, person-centred curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of every pupil

Enrichment through art, music, PE, horticulture, and vocational learning, including a school shop

Has QTS and experience teaching primary-aged pupils

Is committed to inclusive, individualised teaching and learning

Has a genuine interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs

Can work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Brings creativity, flexibility, and resilience to their teaching practice
SEND experience is welcome but not essential — the school provides comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development.
