We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff to support students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND in lessons and around the school.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver effective learning strategies and interventions.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all learners.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs personally or within a setting.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Is committed to promoting inclusion and removing barriers to learning.
- Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Shares our commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of every child.
