A highly regarded secondary school are seeking an exceptional Provision Lead to join their new specialist provision. This exciting leadership opportunity is suitable for an experienced professional who is committed to improving outcomes for students with complex additional needs, including those with social communication differences, autism and associated learning needs. Working as part of an established Inclusion Team, you will lead the strategic and operational development of a specialist provision, ensuring students receive a high-quality, personalised education that enables them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role

As a Provision Lead, you will provide strategic leadership for a specialist Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), driving high standards of teaching, learning and personal development for students with additional needs. You will be responsible for creating an ambitious, inclusive environment where every student is supported to achieve their individual goals and reach their full potential.

You will lead and develop a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, promoting excellence in SEND practice through coaching, guidance and professional development. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help ensure that provision remains innovative, effective and aligned with the school's inclusive vision.

A key part of the role will involve monitoring student progress, analysing outcomes and implementing targeted interventions to support achievement. You will oversee EHCP reviews, coordinate transition planning and work collaboratively with families, external professionals and multi-agency teams to ensure students receive holistic and consistent support.

You will play a central role in developing and maintaining a personalised curriculum that meets the diverse needs of learners, while supporting students to build independence and apply their skills confidently both within school and in the wider community. Through strong partnership working and high expectations, you will help create meaningful opportunities for students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

You will also ensure that systems, resources and day-to-day provision are well organised, compliant and focused on delivering positive outcomes. As a passionate advocate for inclusion, you will champion best practice across the wider school community, helping to strengthen an ethos where all students feel valued, supported and able to succeed.

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have substantial experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly autism and social communication needs.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop staff teams.
  • Have experience coordinating provision linked to EHCP outcomes.
  • Can confidently analyse student progress data and implement targeted interventions.
  • Are skilled at building positive relationships with families, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Remain calm, resilient and solution-focused when supporting students who may present behaviours that challenge.
  • Are passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring every young person achieves their potential.
  • SENCo qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.
