Are you a Humanities Teacher with a passion for inclusion and a genuine desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people with SEMH needs?
We are currently seeking a Humanities Teacher to join a well-established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive and therapeutic setting, led by a Headteacher with exceptionally high standards and a clear vision for pupil success.
The Role as PRU Humanities Teacher
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons tailored to meet individual pupil needs
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate learners
- Take responsibility for pupil attainment, progress, and outcomes
- Create a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment
- Uphold the school’s core values, with mutual respect and positive relationships at the heart of your practice
Criteria for PRU Humanities Teacher
- Experience working with pupils who require emotional regulation support and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
- Valid QTS/QTLS (or be in the process of obtaining it)
- Degree-level qualification in Humanities or a related subject
- A therapeutic and nurturing approach to teaching
- Experience supporting students with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, or social communication needs
- Strong ICT skills
