Psychology Graduate Opportunity
Barking and Dagenham | September Start

If you are a Psychology graduate looking to build a meaningful career working with children and young people, this is a strong place to start.

Across Barking and Dagenham, we are working with a range of settings including welcoming mainstream primary schools, diverse secondary schools, specialist SEND schools, nurturing SEMH provisions and inclusive PRUs. These settings are looking for Graduate SEND Support Staff to work either one to one or with small groups of pupils.

You will be supporting children and young people with a variety of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, ODD and PMLD. This is not just classroom experience. It is an opportunity to really understand behaviour, communication, and development in a practical, hands on way.

For many graduates, this is the step that shapes their future career. Whether you are considering teaching, educational psychology, therapy, counselling or behaviour support, working in SEND gives you the kind of experience you simply cannot gain from theory alone.

The work can be challenging, but it is also genuinely rewarding. You will see progress in real time, often in small but significant ways, and know you have played a part in that.
