Psychology Graduate SEND Opportunity
Havering | September 2026 Start
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities
If you’ve recently completed a Psychology degree and are considering your next step, a school-based role can provide practical experience that goes beyond lectures and textbooks.
We are working with a range of schools across Havering, including mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist SEND schools, SEMH provisions, and alternative education settings. These roles are ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children and young people with additional needs, while exploring future careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Teaching, Counselling, or Social Work.
You will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. Pupils may have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.
Each day will vary, but your role will typically involve helping pupils access learning, supporting communication, encouraging emotional regulation, and building positive, consistent relationships that help children feel safe and engaged in school. You will also gain valuable experience working alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams, gaining insight into multidisciplinary support within education.
These roles are well suited to graduates who are curious, patient, and motivated to learn. Previous SEND experience is not required, as schools are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, willingness to get involved, and a genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we specialise exclusively in SEND education recruitment. We take time to understand your goals and match you with schools where you can build meaningful experience and develop your career. We focus on long-term opportunities, honest guidance, and supporting you to find the right fit rather than simply filling vacancies.
When you register with us, you will benefit from:
- Access to a wide range of SEND roles across Havering
- Transparent PAYE pay with no hidden deductions
- Dedicated interview preparation and career guidance
- Ongoing support from a specialist consultant
- Opportunities for training and long-term progression
If you are looking for a role that will strengthen your future career while making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
