Psychology Graduate SEND Opportunities | Havering | September 2026
£95–£100 per day (PAYE)
Long-term roles with permanent opportunities after 12 weeks
Graduating this summer? Don't wait until September to secure your role.
Schools across Havering are already interviewing Psychology graduates for September starts, and many of these positions will be filled before the end of the summer.
If you're considering a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Teaching, Counselling or Social Work, this is the hands-on experience employers and postgraduate courses are looking for.
Turn your degree into real-world experience
We're working with a variety of welcoming schools across Havering, including:
- Mainstream primary schools
- Mainstream secondary schools
- Specialist SEND schools
- SEMH provisions
- Alternative education settings
You'll be supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, making a genuine impact while building invaluable experience for your future career.
What will you be doing?
No two days are the same.
You'll support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
You'll gain first-hand experience supporting pupils with:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties
- Communication and Interaction Needs
Working alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs, therapists and pastoral teams, you'll develop practical skills that simply can't be learned in a lecture theatre.
Whether you're helping a child regulate their emotions, build confidence, improve communication or engage in learning for the first time that day, every day brings new challenges and rewarding moments.
We'd love to hear from you if you are...
- A Psychology graduate (or graduating this summer)
- Passionate about supporting children and young people
- Curious, patient and eager to learn
- Considering a career in psychology, education or mental health
- Looking for meaningful experience before further study or professional training
Previous SEND experience isn't essential. Schools are looking for graduates with empathy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
