What drew you to psychology in the first place? Was it a curiosity about how people think and feel? A desire to understand behaviour beyond the surface? Or a drive to make a real difference where it’s needed most?

If so, this is where your journey begins.

You’ve studied the theories, now it’s time to see them come to life.

Through Parker Smith Inclusion, we offer Psychology Graduates the opportunity to step into the world of SEND, supporting children and young people who need understanding, patience, and the right guidance to thrive.

This isn’t just experience for your CV, it’s meaningful, hands-on work that builds the foundation for careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, therapy, or specialist education.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students with additional needs such as autism, SEMH, ADHD, and learning differences
  • Applying your understanding of behaviour, cognition, and development in real-life settings
  • Building trusting relationships with students who may struggle to engage with education
  • Working alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
  • Helping create an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and able to learn

Why This is Different

Every day is a chance to understand more.

You’ll begin to see behaviour through a new lens, recognising triggers, patterns, and emotional needs. You’ll learn how small, consistent actions can lead to significant breakthroughs.

And most importantly, you’ll realise the impact of simply showing up, listening, and not giving up.

Who This is Perfect For

  • Psychology graduates looking to build experience in SEND or mental health
  • Aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or SEN Teachers
  • Individuals who are empathetic, patient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Those who want a career with purpose — not just progression

No prior school experience? That’s okay. Your mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
