Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Morden
Full-time (term time only), 8:30am - 3:45pm
£95 - £100 PAYE per day, weekly payment
You studied psychology to understand how people learn, communicate, and cope. In this SEN primary school in the London Borough of Merton, where you support children with Autism/ASC, SLD, or PMLD, you put that understanding to use every day. Progress looks different for every child, and you learn to see it. This school provides a calm and positive environment where pupils are eager to start their day.
A psychology degree opens a lot of doors. Working directly with SEND pupils lets you apply what you learned straight away. If you are weighing up further study, teaching, or clinical routes, this experience is worth having on your CV first.
You will support children throughout the school day, adapt activities to meet different needs, and help build routines that help them feel safe and ready to learn. It teaches you more about SEND in a term than a lecture theatre ever could. Many psychology graduates use a role like this as a foundation for educational psychology, SEND teaching, or training in therapy.
- Supporting children in EYFS and primary with Autism/ ASC, SLD, and PMLD
- Long-term, full-time (term-time only)
- 8:30am to 3:45pm, Monday to Friday
- Comfortable with personal care and hydrotherapy support
- Working closely with therapists and experienced SEND staff
