Psychology Graduate Opportunity
Barking & Dagenham | September Start

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to take the first step into a rewarding career supporting children and young people?

We are currently working with a range of fantastic schools and specialist provisions across Barking and Dagenham, all seeking Graduate SEND Support Staff to join them from September. Opportunities are available in mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist SEND schools, SEMH provisions and PRUs, with roles supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, ODD and PMLD. Beyond classroom experience, this role offers valuable insight into behaviour, communication and child development in a real-world setting.

Many graduates use this experience as a stepping stone into careers such as educational psychology, teaching, therapy, counselling or behaviour support. Working within SEND provides a depth of understanding and practical experience that simply cannot be gained through study alone.

The role can be challenging at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding. Watching a child grow in confidence, achieve a breakthrough or feel understood for the first time is what makes this work so meaningful.
