Do you believe every child deserves to feel understood, valued and supported in their learning journey?

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?

Do you want to work with a recruitment agency that genuinely puts people and inclusion first?

Parker Smith Inclusion — the ethical SEND recruiter known for honesty, transparency and true SEND expertise — is working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary and secondary schools in Harrow. We are seeking Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants who are eager to apply their knowledge of child development, mental health, and behaviour to support pupils with additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate who is considering a future career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, SEN teaching or therapy. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs), and learning difficulties — while working alongside skilled SEN professionals and teachers.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs both in and out of the classroom

  • Implementing behaviour and emotional regulation strategies under guidance from SENCOs and therapists

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions

  • Observing and recording pupil progress to contribute to assessments and reviews

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

What we offer:

  • £90–£105 per day (PAYE, no umbrella deductions)

  • Ongoing CPD and training to develop your skills in behaviour management and SEN support

  • Supportive school environments that promote wellbeing and professional growth

  • Long-term and permanent opportunities available

  • Exceptional experience for aspiring educational or clinical psychologists

Who we’re looking for:

  • Psychology graduates or students completing their degree who are passionate about SEN and mental health

  • Empathetic, observant and patient individuals who can build positive relationships with pupils

  • Resilient and proactive people who can adapt to different learning needs and environments

  • Team players who are enthusiastic about supporting inclusion and child development
