Salary: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting?
This opportunity across a group of inclusive primary schools in Brent offers invaluable experience working with pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, and speech and language difficulties. Many pupils have EHCPs and require consistent, tailored support to access learning and regulate their emotions.
This role is ideal if you are considering a future career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, or therapy.
About the Role

Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Work with children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs

Help pupils regulate emotions and engage in learning

Observe and track behaviour, identifying triggers and progress

Implement EHCP targets and personalised support strategies

Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
-
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Support pupils in both classroom and playground settings

Assist with personal care where required

Requirements

A degree in Psychology or a related subject

A genuine interest in supporting children with SEND

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A calm, patient, and resilient approach

Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
