Location: Harrow, North West London
Pay: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only, Temp to Perm

A welcoming and forward-thinking school in Harrow is looking for a passionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, SEMH, and trauma-related needs. Working within a trauma-informed, relationship-led environment, you will help students regulate, build confidence, and re-engage with learning, both academically and emotionally.
This is an ideal first step for graduates exploring careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, therapy, or SEND teaching, with a supportive leadership team invested in your professional growth.
What you will be doing:
Support pupils with autism, SEMH, and complex additional needs Build trusting, consistent relationships that help students feel safe and ready to learn Apply trauma-informed strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver targeted interventions Contribute to a nurturing school culture that prioritises wellbeing alongside achievement
What we are looking for:
A degree in Psychology or a related subject Genuine passion for supporting young people with SEN A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset No classroom experience required, your knowledge, values, and attitude matter most
The current team includes psychology graduates, aspiring therapists, youth workers, and SEN specialists, a collaborative and experienced group you will learn a great deal from.
