At Parker Smith Inclusion, we’re looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Whether you're a qualified teacher or an unqualified educator with experience in SEND, youth work, or alternative provisions then we want to hear from you.

The Role:

  • Deliver lessons across the curriculum with a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach

  • Support students aged 11–16 with SEMH needs, some of whom may have additional diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, or PTSD

  • Create a calm, engaging, and supportive learning environment

  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to meet individual student needs

  • Contribute to a nurturing school culture where every young person is seen, heard, and supported

You Might Be:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS), or…

  • Unqualified but with relevant experience e.g., youth worker, HLTA, learning mentor, or support worker

  • Someone with a genuine passion for inclusion and mental health

  • Experienced in working with vulnerable or challenging young people, ideally in a school or care setting

  • Calm under pressure, emotionally resilient, and creative in your approach to learning
