£14.50 - £15.50 per hour

Monday to Friday | 11:30am - 3:30pm

Part-Time | Long-Term Contract (September 2026 Start)

Some children need a little extra support to access learning. Others need a trusted adult who can help them build confidence, develop positive relationships and feel successful in school. This is an opportunity to become that person for a young learner at the very beginning of their educational journey.

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow that is seeking a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.

The school is committed to creating a happy, safe and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Inclusion, wellbeing and respect sit at the heart of the school community, with staff working collaboratively to ensure pupils feel valued, supported and confident in their learning. The school benefits from a strong SEND provision and places great importance on positive relationships, personal development and celebrating every child's achievements.

As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a young pupil academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day. You will work closely with teachers, external professionals and the wider SEND team to implement strategies that promote engagement, positive behaviour and successful learning outcomes.

The role will involve:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil
  • Supporting learning, communication and emotional development
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working alongside teachers, SEND staff and external agencies
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND
  • Be patient, nurturing and resilient
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Be passionate about helping children reach their full potential
