Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a highly regarded children’s residential care home in Witham, seeking an experienced Residential Children’s Home Manager to lead their team. This is a rewarding role where you will make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Role Overview
As the Residential Children’s Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall operation and management of the home. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of dedicated staff to support children in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Duties
- Managing the daily operations of the home, adhering to Ofsted and legislative requirements.
- Creating and implementing bespoke care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Providing leadership and support to Deputy Managers, Seniors, and Support Workers.
- Ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of all children in your care.
- Managing budgets and fostering relationships with external agencies.
- Promoting educational, personal, and emotional development for children and young people.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or a commitment to achieve it).
- At least 5 years’ experience working with children in a residential care setting, with a minimum of 1 year as a registered manager.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Ofsted frameworks.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
- Passionate about making a difference and delivering outstanding care.
What’s on Offer
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (dependent on experience).
- Full-time position with 28 days of annual leave.
