Residential Night Awake Childcare Officer
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £26,095 – £27,860
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 9:45pm – 8:30am (term time only)

Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be supporting this well-established specialised residential school in the Essex area who are looking for a committed Residential Night Awake Childcare Officer to support their team.
This school is designed to provide a safe space and structured environment for pupils and young people with additional needs. They aim to do this while still creating a nurturing feel through everything they do. This residential provision is a key part of supporting pupils social, emotional and physical well-being by offering a calm overnight setting that compliments their daytime education.
Within this role, you will take responsibility for supervising and supporting pupils and young people overnight. Some of these responsibilities may include:
- Following emergency procedures such as fire drills or contacting the emergency services
- Attending training, supervision and staff meetings, while completing a Level 3 qualification if needed
- Carrying out regular checks on pupils throughout the night
- Adhering to safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures at all times
