We are delighted to be working with a fantastic SEMH primary school that is seeking a compassionate and committed Residential Care Officer to join their dedicated team.

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to become part of a nurturing, family-oriented school community where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What makes this school special?

  • Small class sizes and a strong sense of community
  • A residential setting where children live in individual houses designed to feel like real homes
  • A warm, family atmosphere with shared mealtimes and genuinely caring staff
  • Exceptional facilities, including a recording studio, onsite swimming pool, and a private farm
  • A wide range of evening activities such as swimming, bowling, cinema trips, and sports, ensuring a well-rounded experience for students

As a Residential Care Officer, you will:

  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Ensure children are safe, secure, and engaged in both education and leisure activities
  • Provide guidance around health, hygiene, relationships, and independent living skills
  • Accompany children to appointments and outings
  • Observe and record student progress, contributing to their care and development plans

What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and resilient individual who is passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children with SEMH needs. Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential — a positive attitude and genuine commitment to supporting young people are key.

Why join Parker Smith Inclusion?

  • Over 350 5-star Google reviews
  • An ethical consultancy that always puts people first
  • SEND specialists who are truly passionate about inclusion
  • PAYE only — no umbrella companies
  • Ongoing support from application through to placement

If you believe you could be a valuable addition to this already incredible team, we’d love to hear from you.
