We are recruiting a dedicated School Support Worker to join a specialist SEN primary school in Edgware, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
Pupils require high levels of care, structure and sensory-based support to access learning and daily routines. Many are non-verbal and benefit from adults who are calm, compassionate and emotionally present throughout the school day.
This role is well suited to candidates with experience in SEN schools, care, support work or healthcare.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD

Support personal care, hygiene and mobility where required

Assist with sensory activities and sensory regulation

Use visual, tactile and communication-based strategies

Support pupils within highly structured classroom environments

Promote engagement, wellbeing and independence

Work closely with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals
-
Maintain a calm, patient and caring approach at all times
Ideal Candidate

Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN

Background in SEN education, care, support work or healthcare

Comfortable with personal care and physical support
