Camden, Central London
Full-time | Long-term

I am recruiting for a School Therapist position in Camden, working with children or young people who require additional therapeutic support alongside their education.
The role will involve working collaboratively with education staff so that therapeutic strategies are not limited to individual sessions but can be understood and reinforced throughout the pupil's school day.

Depending on the professional discipline and needs of the setting, responsibilities may include:
-
Assessing individual pupil needs
-
Delivering appropriate therapeutic interventions
-
Creating practical strategies for education staff
-
Monitoring and reviewing pupil progress
-
Supporting individual outcomes
-
Working closely with teachers and SEND professionals
-
Communicating with families where appropriate
-
Contributing to multidisciplinary planning
-
Helping staff understand how therapeutic needs affect access to education
What I am looking for
Essential requirements will depend on the therapeutic discipline, but candidates will need:
-
An appropriate professional qualification
-
Relevant professional registration where required
-
Experience supporting children or young people
-
Strong multidisciplinary working skills
-
Good written and verbal communication
-
A genuine interest in school-based practice
Previous SEND or specialist education experience would be beneficial.
Why consider a school-based therapy role?
Working within education gives therapists the opportunity to see how their strategies translate into everyday life.
You can work alongside the adults who support pupils throughout the week and help ensure therapeutic recommendations become practical, consistent parts of their school experience.
