We are recruiting a School Youth Worker to join a specialist SEN school in Harlesden, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across secondary age groups.
Many pupils have experienced disrupted education and require adults who are calm, consistent and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. This is a structured, nurturing and relationship-led setting, where emotional safety and trust are central to daily practice.
The Role – School Youth Worker
Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams, you will provide targeted mentoring and emotional support to pupils who struggle to engage with education. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering 1:1 and small group SEMH mentoring

Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour and social development

Using trauma-informed, restorative and de-escalation approaches

Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions and unstructured times

Building strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable young people

Contributing to behaviour plans, interventions and EHCP targets
